PCAT Recruitment Event: Family Trunk or Treat Night!

Our first Trunk or Treat event took place on October 26th at the Boalsburg Fire Hall, and it was a huge success! It was a festive evening of trick-or-treating, games, and a wonderful opportunity for local families to meet the PCAT Lab team and learn about our exciting work. We were happy to welcome many families, with children in adorable costumes, for a memorable Halloween-themed night.

We had an amazing turnout, with five of our undergraduate researchers helping to run the event and share information about the PCAT study. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to recruit ten new families into the study. The team was available to answer questions, meet community members, and connect with kids in a fun and engaging way!

Some highlights of the night included fun activities like drawing and painting, where our undergraduate research assistants enjoyed spending time with the children. There were plenty of treats for everyone, and the laughter and excitement throughout the evening made the event truly special.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the Boalsburg Fire Hall staff, who helped us coordinate and set up the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their support was essential in making the night enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Thank you again to all the families who joined us to celebrate and connect with us. The PCAT Lab is eager to build on the success of this event and continue building strong connections in our community. We look forward to more fun events in the future and to welcoming new families into the PCAT study!
