CAT Lab Researcher Receives a Competitive and Prestigious Federal Grant to Investigate Social Engagement

Alicia is a fourth-year student in developmental psychology and cognitive & affective neuroscience. She is interested in how behavioral, attentional and neural systems interact to support the development of social engagement, particularly in the peer context. Her dissertation will use mobile eye-tracking and neuroimaging technology in naturalistic conditions to examine dynamic fluctuations in emotional experience during a "real-life" social interaction. Further details about the project can be found on her website.

Alicia's research is sponsored by Dr. Koraly Pérez-Edgar. Additionally, she is mentored by Drs. Michael Hallquist & Kristin Buss (Penn State) and will consult with Dr. Erika Forbes (University of Pittsburgh) and Dr. Johanna Jarcho (Temple University).
